What is PickXColor?
PickXColor is a free color picker that works like a design board. Press I (or click Pick colors) and grab any pixel on your screen: a website, a screenshot, a Figma file, a paused video. Every color lands as a card on an infinite canvas that you can pan, zoom, group and rearrange, so a palette stays in one place instead of in a pile of rectangles in a design file. Each color gets: - a human name, matched against about 5,000 names with CIEDE2000 - HEX, RGB, HSL, HSV, OKLCH and CMYK values, each copied with one click - Tailwind-style 50–900 shades generated in OKLCH - WCAG 2.1 contrast against white and black, with AA/AAA badges - export code for CSS variables, Tailwind v4 and v3, SCSS, SwiftUI/UIKit, Jetpack Compose and W3C design tokens, plus PNG and SVG swatches Paste colors in any format (HEX, rgb(), hsl(), oklch(), CSS names) with ⌘V, and copy a selection as a HEX list with ⌘C. There's no account and nothing is uploaded: your board is saved in your browser. The screen eyedropper works in Chrome, Edge and other Chromium desktop browsers. Safari, Firefox and mobile use the system color picker.
