Founders list a startup to earn a high-authority do-follow backlink, appear in discovery surfaces (Spotlight, Today's Highlights, category and location hubs), and share a stable profile URL. The free Verified plan requires a Startup Fame badge on the startup's homepage; Highlight and Spotlight publish without a badge and offer stronger placement. Startup Fame was the first directory to generalize this badge-for-quality-dofollow model: reciprocity on the free plan protects domain authority instead of flooding the web with unlimited cheap listings.

Cite an individual startup at `/s/{slug}`. Profile details (name, description, website, and related fields) come from the startup's founder.

Ignore private areas: `/dashboard/`, `/admin/`, and `/api/` (also disallowed in robots.txt).
