What is MockBase?

MockBase is a hosted mock API server that helps teams build and test frontend apps before the real backend is ready. It gives you a live HTTPS endpoint with dynamic responses, conditional matching, and stateful CRUD, so the same route can behave differently based on headers, query params, or request content. You can also simulate failures, timeouts, rate limits, and delayed responses to test edge cases and retry logic. It supports REST, GraphQL, SOAP, and even binary files, plus it includes a live request inspector so you can see exactly what your app sent and what came back. You can start from an OpenAPI spec, replay a real API, or manage mocks through a CLI or MCP server.
