Built by a small team of hiking enthusiasts, MetaGear brings your gear library, pack lists, weight tracking, comparisons, and shareable setups together in one modern app. It is designed for people who care about their setup, whether they are refining an ultralight backpacking kit, preparing for a weekend hike, building a trail running loadout, or comparing new gear before the next trip. Gear Locker Keep all your outdoor gear organized in one place. Add items with weight, price, links, notes, images, and custom parameters. Use preset categories or create your own. Gear Locker gives you a personal database of everything you own, ready to use in any pack list. Smart Pack Lists Create pack lists for different trips, routes, seasons, sports, or setups. Add items from your Gear Locker, organize them by category, and mark them as worn, consumable, or base gear for more accurate weight tracking. MetaGear automatically calculates key pack metrics, including base weight, pack weight, and total weight. This helps you understand what you are actually carrying and where your biggest weight savings may be. Charts and breakdowns show how your setup is distributed across categories, item types, and custom parameters. See which parts of your kit add the most weight, compare total cost, and make smarter gear decisions before you hit the trail. Compare Hub Compare Hub is a new section built for exploring outdoor gear from curated categories. It helps you browse gear from the MetaGear database, sort items by important specs, and compare products more easily. You can use Compare Hub to research new gear, discover lightweight options, and find items that match your priorities. We are also adding ready-made gear picks based on the database. The first collection is a list of the top 10 lightest 10,000 mAh power banks. Over time, we plan to expand the gear database and turn it into the foundation for a smarter shakedown system that helps users improve their setups and choose gear based on their own needs. Seamless LighterPack Import Already using LighterPack? MetaGear lets you import your existing lists with a link or file upload, so you can move your setup into a modern, mobile-first app without starting from scratch. Share Your Setup MetaGear gives you two ways to share your gear: 1. Visual highlights designed for social media 2.
