What is Light Pollution Map?
An interactive Light Pollution Map and dark sky finder that shows how bright the night sky is anywhere on Earth. Click any spot to see its Bortle class and an estimated SQM reading, then use that to find better places for stargazing, Milky Way viewing, or astrophotography. It also helps you search nearby dark sky parks, certified dark sky places, and spots with very low skyglow. The map includes layers for aurora probability, weather, day and night terminator, moon phase, and nearby stargazing spots. You can search by city, state, or region, and compare local skies against darker rural areas to plan the best night out.
