What is Helicon?
Helicon is a free, open-source desktop and web app for Muse Code. It gives you one place to manage projects, threads, diffs, approvals, and cost instead of jumping through terminal tabs. The app uses your own Muse login, keeps credentials in Muse, and stores local state in SQLite on your machine. It works as a Tauri desktop app on Windows and macOS, and also as a web app connected to a remote daemon. Helicon is built for keyboard-first use, with a command palette, slash commands, inline diffs, approval cards, and a sidebar for VS Code, Cursor, and Windsurf.
Key features
- Groups threads by project and folder for quick resuming.
- Shows inline diffs right where edits happen.
- Surfaces approval requests immediately, without batching them away.
- Displays usage and cost side by side in one view.
- Works as both a desktop app and a web app.
