What is Acres?
Acres is a visual Markdown notes app for macOS and Windows. Organize cards on an infinite canvas with connections, mindmaps, sections, tags and properties. Notes stay as plain files in a folder you control. Built-in AI uses your own provider keys or local models, with reviewable edits and undo history. A local MCP server lets external agents work with your notes; a CLI is available through the developer source checkout. Try Acres for 14 days without an account or payment details. Continued editing costs $59 for an early-adopter lifetime local-use license, or $9/month for Acres Plus with app access, Sync and Publish. After the trial, notes remain readable without a license.
