What is Sign Trade Data?
Sign Trade Data counts the sign industry state by state: how many sign shops there are, how many people they employ, what they pay, and how each number has moved since 2014. It covers every state and the District of Columbia with 2025 annual averages, plus all 383 metro areas BLS reports, each with its share of sign shops relative to the national average. Every figure is the Bureau of Labor Statistics' own census of employers (QCEW, NAICS 339950), not an estimate, and where BLS withholds a figure to protect a small employer the site says so instead of guessing.
