What is DocCompass?
DocCompass is a Chrome extension that helps developers find the exact documentation they need, fast. Instead of getting lost in dense docs, you describe what you’re trying to build and DocCompass points you to the most relevant sections, explains pages in context, and keeps your research organized. I built it while learning new technologies myself, and it’s become my way of turning docs overwhelm into a clear, actionable path. Docs are overwhelming, especially when you’re learning something new. DocCompass helps you skip the noise and get straight to what matters so you can build faster and learn with confidence. Key features include AI‑powered navigation to find the right sections based on your goal, “Explain This Page” for instant context and next steps, search history to revisit past queries, bookmarks with folders and color tags to stay organized, and copy‑as‑Markdown for clean sharing. How it works is simple: open a documentation page, describe what you want to build, and get a structured navigation plan with links, explanations, and contextual help. Privacy: search history stays local; bookmarks and organization sync via Supabase; payments are handled by Stripe.
