What is Cozy?
Cozy is a private journaling app that keeps everything on your own device as plain files. You write in simple markdown-style entries, add photos, audio, or video, and organize your memories with tags, moods, locations, calendars, maps, and custom trackers. It works offline and doesn’t sync anything to Cozy’s servers, so your writing stays readable and portable. You can open your entries with other apps, back them up however you want, or move them elsewhere anytime. Cozy is available for macOS, Windows, iPhone, and iPad, with iCloud-based syncing on Apple devices and folder sync options like Dropbox or Google Drive on desktop. It also imports from Day One, Notion, Obsidian, and Bear, making it easier to switch without starting over.
